Poems from Samantha Sullivan
Death is
A release from the pain in the world
Death is
A way to escape the tortures of your life
Death is
Seeing lost family and friends...
Oh, big black cat
How you've tormented me
Filled me with dread
At the thought of you
With your beady yellow eyes
Black scrangy fur
And...
This dessilate land
Reminds me of a place I once knew
With children's laughter everywhere
And them running to and fro'
Where the trees look...
What do I need to survive?
I need for my lungs to breath air.
I need for my heart to continue pumping.
I need my brain to keep functioning...
I lie awake and wonder why.
Why does all of this happen?
What does all of this mean?
Were we really meant to be friends,
Or was it doomed...
